In 2025, I set myself one goal: complete 55 paintings in a year to enhancing my use of color and acrylic technique.
To stay on track, I set a simple rule—at least five paintings per month, any size or subject. No mediums, no gels: just pure acrylic, with its fast-drying nature and vibrant pigments. This pushed me to develop a decisive working method based on planning, documenting the process, and creating unique color palettes for each piece.
The themes evolved through the year: flowers at the start, then Australian coasts, Colombian culture, Balinese temples, and works that approached figurative abstraction. All drawn from places I’ve been and experiences I carry with me.
The project began in January with “Ready for Carnival” and ended in November with “Mount Batur Sunrise.” Sizes ranged from large (152 × 61 cm) to small (30 × 30 cm).
These 55 works document my first year as a painter, my progress with color and how acrylic has become a essential part of my artistic style.
